MEDIEVAL ISLAMIC:LOT of 9 gold coins of lower quality, identified by A-numbers, all without mint names: Ziyanid: A-515.2, dinar, 4.49g (Fine, mount removed & slightly bent); Merinid: A-520, dinar, 4.39g (VG-Fine, probably once bent); A-521, ½ dinar, 2.35g (F-VF, about 20% flat, some weakness as well); A-522, ¼ dinar, 1.16g (Fine, lightly crinkled); A-527 style, debased gold dinar, later imitation, 4.37g (VF); A-532 (probably), ½ dinar, 2.08g (VG, very weak center, with the royal titles virtually illegible); A-541A, ¼ dinar, 1.05g (Good, much weakness); A-, dinar, 4.59g (VG-F, badly struck & illegible); and Sa'dien: A-569, cut-down center of dinar of Abu Faris al-Wathiq; total weight 27.72g; retail value about $2000, lot of 9 pieces.
