Obverse: Laureate head of Zeus right; Reverse: ΦΙΛΙΠΠOY, nude youth, holding palm frond and reins, riding horse right; thunderbolt below; N in exergue. An enchanting specimen, this pleasingly toned piece features a rather bold, well centered obverse strike, giving great allure to the bust of Zeus. Without a doubt, a masterpiece of ancient engraving.
