CONSTANTIUS I, A.D. 305-306. AR Argenteus (3.57 gms), Serdica Mint, 4th Officina. NGC Ch MS, Strike: 5/5 Surface: 5/5.
RIC-Unlisted; RSC-Unlisted; Gautier-25. Obverse: CONSTANTIVS AVG, aureate head right; Reverse: VIRTVS MILITVM, camp gate, with three turrets and open door; -SM-SDΔ-. A VERY RARE issue of Constantius as Augustus, this wondrous specimen features a well executed strike on a brilliantly lustrous flan. The distinct lack of handling is dazzling and makes this a piece which should generate a great deal of interest and enthusiasm for the collector looking for exceptionally choice Roman offerings.

Estimate: $1200.00- $1600.00
