CHILE. 8 Reales, 1782-So DA. Santiago Mint. Charles III. NGC VF Details--Obverse Graffiti, Cleaned.
KM-31; FC-20; EL-29; Cal-Type-110 # 1020. Mintage: 60,000. An evenly worn example of this VERY RARE low-mintage date, struck sharply albeit slightly off-center, with moderate gray toning. What is called 'graffiti' by NGC appears to simply be a few light scratches to right of bust that do little to distract from the devices. Nicer than the Calbeto plate coin and the only piece thus far certified by either NGC or PCGS.
