GERMANY. Hamburg. 10 Mark, 1874-B. Hannover Mint. NGC MS-64.
KM-286. Mintage: 50,000. One-year type featuring the older style arms of Hamburg as well as a continuous rather than split rendering of the denomination on the reverse. RARE quality for the issue, easily meeting the qualifications of a near-Gem, with luminous luster that enlivens the carefully preserved fields and a full strike that crisply depicts both the centers and outer designs. A trace of peach tone among those designs adds a touch of charm to the appearance. Entirely comparable to, and perhaps slightly finer than, the last choice certified example to sell at auction (A PCGS MS-64 at Heidelberger Auction 74 - 5/2018), that coin hammering for 4,700 Euros (~$5575).

From the Estate of a Western Gentleman.

Estimate: $3500.00- $4500.00
