GERMANY. Wurttemberg. 10 Mark, 1873-F. Stuttgart Mint. Karl I. NGC MS-67+.
KM-621. An outrageous Superb Gem survivor that truly borders on perfect, possessing crisp definition within the designs and sumptuous satin-like luster that engulfs the fields. A touch of subtle honey-hued tone around the designs on both sides adds to the character of this unblemished jewel. Despite the NGC census recording otherwise (showing one coin at MS-68), we know that this coin is presently the single highest graded example holdered by either NGC or PCGS, as the other coin that was once graded MS-68 by NGC now resides in a PCGS MS-67 holder; that coin, amazing in its own right, brought $7,343.75 when it sold at auction in 2017. This coin, every bit as nice, should undoubtedly attract similar attention from the specialist collector.
From the Estate of a Western Gentleman.
Estimate: $3000.00- $5000.00
