KM-not listed; Gomes-Jo.26.01; Vaz-not listed; Azevedo-not listed. Issued by decree of 20 August 1765. Incuse "MR" monogram applied to the obverse of a 1760-P V Bolivia cob 4 Reales of Charles III. SCARCE denomination seldom seen on the market. Countermark well applied, though a small portion of the top right of the monogram is slightly obscured. Otherwise a handsome example displaying attractive soft grey tone throughout with rich slate patina in the recesses. Countermark: VERY FINE.
