KM-44.2; Basso-41; cf.PNM#6-83; PNM#16-34; PNM#21-VI-4 (plate coin); Cacho-Type VIII; Gil-Crown variety 5-4-1C. Type V Countermark, crowned F.7.0 within circle. Issued by decree of 2 October 1832, commencing 5 October 1832 until 20 December 1834. Countermark applied to the reverse of an 1815-PTS F Argentina 8 Reales. VERY RARE host coin and especially so with the countermark on the reverse. Countermark deeply impressed with clear definition of the details. A lightly toned survivor with light grey color atop the devices with mottled medium to slate patina throughout. An always in demand host type from a heavily collected area certain to see spirited bidding.

From the Kyle Ponterio Collection.
