Issued by decree of 14 December 1835, suppressed 31 March 1837, by Decree of 1 February 1836. On an 1832-ZsOM Mexico Republic 4 Reales. VERY RARE host coin and denomination seldom seen on the market. Countermark with several die chips, one at 12 o'clock with the other at 4 o'clock. Countermark well struck and slightly off center with clear details. Moderate even wear with just a hint of light tone.

The 4 Reales is the second rarest silver denomination from this countermark series with a combined total of just 18 examples that we have recorded. The rarest silver denomination is the 1 Real which we have only 11 examples recorded.
