SPAIN. 20 Reales de Vellon, 1823-B SP. Barcelona Mint. Ferdinand VII. NGC MS-63.
KM-563.1; Cal-type-83 #369. Highly desirable quality for this short-lived issue, with central detail as sharp as we've encountered for the type, satiny fields that emit an eye-catching sheen and faint pastel tone in golden, russet and lilac hue that imparts unique character to the surfaces. VERY SCARCE in this quality and the first Mint State example of this type that we've offered in over 5 years; that piece, graded one point lower as a NGC MS-62, realized $2,761.25 in our August 2013 ANA auction.
From the Cadiz Collection.
Estimate: $2000.00- $3000.00
