THRACE. Kingdom of Thrace. Lysimachos, 323-281 B.C. AR Tetradrachm (16.61 gms), Lampsakos Mint, 297/6-282/1 B.C. CHOICE VERY FINE.
Thompson-48; HGC-3.2, 1750b. Obverse: Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon; Reverse: Athena seated left on throne, holding crowning Nike and resting elbow upon shield; spear behind; aplustre to outer left, monogram to inner left. A fairly pleasing strike along with pleasantly toned surfaces, though some roughness on each side is noted.
