26.56 gms. KM-48; Cal-Type 144 # 769. With a contemporary counterfeit Guatemala Type II countermark, sun over mountains, on the obverse. Holed at 6 next to the first digit of the date, pierced from the reverse. Struck on a large flan with nearly full date, king's name and ordinal, and almost complete legends missing only a minor portion. An attractive example of the type with minor debris amongst the devices lending to its originality displaying rich old slate patina. An interesting example that saw long term use and managed to survive for more than 286 years, certain to be a welcome addition to the next collection it enters.
