BRAZIL. Brazil - Portugal - Portugal. 200 Reis, ND (1663). Alfonso VI. PCGS FINE-12 Gold Shield; Countermark: VF Details.
KM-32; Gomez-A6.12.14. Issued by decree of 22 March 1663. Raised crowned 200 within shaped indent countermark applied to the reverse of an undated Lisbon mint, Portugal Tostao (100 Reis) of Philip III with previous Portugal 120 Reis countermark within shaped indent (by decree of 3 February 1642). Both countermark are boldly applied with good definition of the details, the crowned 200 exhibits a few die cracks indicative of prolonged use. The host coin is well worn with areas of flatness due to the application of the countermarks, otherwise a nice wholesome example certain to be a welcome addition to the next collection it enters.

Estimate: $250.00- $350.00
