Countermark applied to the reverse of and undated (ca. 1612-16) Spain Cob 4 Reales in the style of Assayer V from Seville mint of Philip III. A sharply struck countermark with clear full details on a decently struck host. Thick oxidation is present on both the obverse and reverse coupled with light attractive grey tone atop of the devices lending to its originality. Overall a pleasant example of the type sure to be a welcome addition to the next collection it enters.
