Denominated arms of the Portugal bi-facial countermark applied to an 1807-PTS PJ Bolivia bust 8 Reales of Charles IIII (IV). Countermark well applied with good definition of the fine details showing that the denomination has been re-cut making for easy attribution of the variety. A handsome and original looking example with minor earthen deposits in the peripherals of the obverse and crevasses of the reverse. A wholesome and attractive example displaying nice mottled slate grey patina with highlights of russet and red iridescent sheen in the protected areas.
