BRITISH HONDURAS. British Honduras - Mexico. Dollar (6 Shilling 1 Penny), ND (1810-20). PCGS Genuine--Tooled, VF Details Gold Shield; Countermark: EF Details.
cf.KM-2; Prid-2. Raised crowned script "GR" within oval indent on an 1806-MoTH Mexico bust 8 Reales of Charles IIII (IV). SCARCE early host coin. Countermark well applied and clear with the characteristic die chip at the base of the left leg of the "R" applied on the obverse. Numerous light scratches in the obverse fields as noted by the PCGS insert account for the details designation from long ago long since toned over matching the rest of the coin. Despite its shortcomings a moderately worn example with a decent look. The piece exhibits rich mottled grey patina with areas of cobalt and violet iridescent sheen. Overall a handsome and presentable example sure to be a welcome addition to the next collection it enters.

Estimate: $600.00- $800.00
