2) 20 Sous, ND (Authorized 9 May 1811). Prid-5(same stamp). Crude crowned "G" with rectangular border countermark applied to the obverse of a 1778-A France 12 Sols of Louis XVI. Richly toned and quite attractive.
3) 2 Livres 5 Sous, ND (Authorized 27 February 1813). Prid-11(Same stamps). Crude crowned "G" within elongated hexagonal border applied to the corners of the cut 1/4 1792-93-A France Ecu of Louis XVI with crenated cuts. Sharp cut edge indicative of modern concoctions. Interesting to note is that one of the countermarks was applied over a plug. Richly toned and attractive. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS.
Each piece is accompanied with an NGC "Contemporary Counterfeit" insert, this is incorrect and should be "Modern Concoction".
