BELGIUM. Bronze Cathedral Medals (2 Pieces), 19th Century. MINT STATE.
Includes a 74.5 mm 1854 medal depicting The Church of Our Lady of Laeken, constructed in 1850 to be a burial place for Queen Louise, and now housing the remains of all other Belgian monarchs deceased to date. The reverse, in 25 lines, accounts for the major events at that church until 1854 - the date this medal was struck. By J. Wiener. Also an undated but more modern uniface 77.5 mm medal depicting the interior of the Cathedral of Antwerp, much in the style of Wiener, but signed A. NEUDECK.
