GREAT BRITAIN. The Order of St. John Knight of Grace Neck Badge and Star. NEAR MINT.
The Star 57 mm, uniface with A.P. hallmark on the otherwise blank single hinged pin reverse. The enamel is complete, but with some minor cracks where the four arms of the cross converge. The Neck Badge 59 x 57 mm includes the black watered silk cravat. The badge is bifacial, with both sides identical. There is a surface flake missing from one of the arms on one side of the badge, otherwise the badge is problem-free. These are both cataloged as #23 in the Medal Yearbook. Both pieces are housed in a somewhat tattered but complete fitted black case by Phillips Bros. & Son of London.
