Republica dos Estados Unidos do Brasil, a uniface hand painted design for a proposed 100 cruzeiros, ND (1940s), serial number 000000, brown, orange, blue and green, Dom Pedro II at left,(Pick unlisted), Hand-painted by Leonard Douglas Fryer (1891-1965) during his time at Waterlow and Sons. The Cruzeiros denomination replaced the Real in Brazil in 1942, therefore possibly part of a proposal done by Waterlow to win the printing contract. Interesting and unique.
