From the Matthew Curtis Collection.

Unpublished in the standard references, a number of this issue have appeared at auction in the past decade, tentatively attributed to Dardanos. This attribution had been predicated upon the obverse type, but the appearance of the previous lot, featuring a lion on the obverse and the same reverse type as here, clearly shows that this attribution to Dardanos is incorrect.
