A fine Nayarit maternal figure from West Mexico, ca. 200 BC - 350 A.D. It is 4-3/4? high and depicts a mother cradling a child in her lap. She is adorned with large ear and nose ornaments, as well as bracelets. The red slip shows strong mineral deposits. Value range: $200 - $300.
