VICTORIA REGINA ET IMPERATRIX, crowned, veiled and draped bust left; small J.E.B. on shoulder truncation / IN•COMMEMORATION, Victoria as Empire enthroned facing, holding sword and Victory on globe below two cherubs holding intertwined wreaths enclosing Royal cypher, lions to left and right behind throne; figures of Science, Letters and the Arts to left, figures of Industry and Agriculture to right, Mercury reclining right, and Time seated left, in foreground; in exergue, five shields inscribed ASIA, AMERICA, EUROPE, AUSTRALASIA and AFRICA, F.L. in relief on left hand end of exergual plinth.
