Kingdom of Macedon, Alexander III 'the Great' AR Tetradrachm. Uncertain central Greek mint, circa 310-290 BC(?). Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin headdress / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left, holding sceptre; ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ to left, ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ to right, HP in lower left field, NI below throne. Unpublished in the standard references including Price, but cf. 687A for the use of HP control at Corinth, and 747 for us of NI control at Megalopolis. 17.12g, 27mm, 10h.
