Awarded by Lord Nelson's prize agent and confidant, Davison (1750-1829) to participants in the Battle of the Nile. Medals were given in gold and silver to officers, and bronze examples were given to other ranks. Obverse; Hope standing on a rock, holding an oval medallion with Nelson's portrait.
