SAMARIA. Circa 375-333 BC. Obol (Silver, 11 mm, 0.45 g, 12 h). Galley to left; above, 𐡔𐡌𐡃𐡉𐡍 ('šmryn' in Aramaic). Rev. Persian hero or Great King, on the left and holding dagger in his right hand, fighting lion, on the right, whom he holds by the head. Meshorer & Qedar 96. Sofaer 38. Very rare. Somewhat porous, otherwise, very fine.
