EARLY SKYTHIANS, Imitating Eukratides I of Baktria. Tetradrachm (Silver, 30 mm, 15.19 g, 1 h), late 2nd-early 1st century BC. Diademed and draped bust of Eukratides to right, wearing Macedonian helmet adorned with bull's horn and ear. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ MEΓAΛOΥ / EΥKΡATIΔOΥ The Dioskouri galloping to right, each holding spear and palm frond; to lower right, monogram. Cf. Bopearachchi série 6. A nicely toned and interesting example. Minor flan cracks and somewhat rough, otherwise, very fine.
