LOCAL ISSUES, Silk Road Region. Circa 5th-8th centuries. Bracteate (Gold, 24 mm, 0.71 g, 12 h). Draped and crowned figure seated facing on backless throne, holding uncertain objects in both hands. Rev. Incuse of obverse. Very rare and attractive. Light deposits and with several flan cracks, otherwise, good very fine.
The objects held by the seated figure on this bracteate could be royal insignia, snake-headed sacral objects or something completely different.
