ATTICA. Athens. Circa 165-42 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 33 mm, 17.11 g, 1 h), circa 165-150/49. Head of Athena Parthenos to right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet adorned with Pegasos. Rev. A-ΘE Owl standing facing on Amphora; in fields to left and right, two monograms; to lower left, herm with kerykeion facing; on amphora, M; all within laurel wreath. Thompson 92. Beautifully toned. Some deposits and minor scratches, otherwise, good very fine.
