ATTICA. Athens. Circa 165-42 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 37 mm, 17.00 g, 1 h), 144/3. Head of Athena Parthenos to right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet adorned with Pegasos. Rev. A-ΘE / ΔΙ-ΟΦΑ / ΔΙΟ/ΔΟ Owl standing facing on Amphora; to left, Apollo standing right, exrending right hand and holding bow in left; all within laurel wreath. Thompson 186. The reverse somewhat double struck, otherwise, very fine.
