SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Antiochos III 'the Great', 223-187 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29 mm, 16.89 g, 12 h), uncertain mint (Seleukeia on the Tigris?), circa 211/0. Diademed head of Antiochos III to right. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ - ANTIOXOY Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow in his right hand and resting his left on grounded bow; to left, right and in exergue, monograms. SC 1195. Rare and nicely toned. Very fine.
