SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Demetrios I Soter, 162-150 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 32 mm, 16.36 g, 1 h), Antiochia on the Orontes, circa 162-155/4. Diademed head of Demetrios I to right within wreath. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΔHMHTPIOY Tyche, holding scepter and cornucopia, seated left on throne supported by tritoness right; to outer left, monogram of ΗΔ. SC -, cf. 1640.2c (monogram in exergue). Beautifully toned and apparently unpublished. A few light scratches, otherwise, very fine.
