Solidus (Gold, 20 mm, 4.42 g, 12 h), brockage mint error, Constantinopolis, circa 616-625. δδ NN hERACLIЧS ET hERA CONST P P AVG Crowned, draped and short-bearded bust of Heraclius facing, on the left; crowned and draped bust of Heraclius Constantine facing, with slight beard and moustache, on the right; above, cross. Rev. Incuse of obverse. Cf. DOC 13, MIB 11 and SB 738. A sharply struck and attractive mint error. Good extremely fine.
