SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Antiochos VIII Epiphanes (Grypos), 121/0-97/6 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 16.56 g, 1 h), Antiochia on the Orontes, circa 121/0-113. Diademed head of Antiochos VIII to right. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ / ANTIOXOY - EΠIΦANOYΣ Zeus Ouranios standing front, head to left, holding star in his right hand and long scepter in his left; above, crescent; to left, IE above A; to inner right, O; all within laurel wreath. SC 2298.2b. Lightly toned and with a bold portrait. Light deposits on the reverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
