Akakios, 7th century. Seal (Lead, 20 mm, 7.87 g, 12 h). Virgin standing facing, nimbate, holding infant Christ in front of her; to left and right, cross and cypress tree. Rev. Cruciform monogram of AKAKIOV. Unpublished in the standard references. A rare iconographic variant. Very fine.
