PERSIA, Alexandrine Empire. Uncertain satraps of Babylon, circa 328-311 BC. Double Shekel (Silver, 22 mm, 17.09 g, 6 h), a contemporary imitation. Baal seated left, holding scepter in his right hand and placing his left hand on throne. Rev. Lion walking left; above, Γ. Cf. Nicolet-Pierre p. 291, 7 (for prototype). An interesting imitation of curious local style. Very fine.
