KINGS OF PARTHIA. Pakoros I, circa 78-120. Drachm (Silver, 21 mm, 3.74 g, 1 h), a contemporary plated imitation from an irregular mint. Diademed and draped bust of Pakoros I to left. Rev. Archer (Arsakes I) seated right on throne, holding bow; below bow, monogram. Cf. Sellwood 78.3 (Vologases III) and Shore 413-4 (Vologases III) (for prototype). A beautifully toned and interesting contemporary imitation. The reverse somewhat double struck, otherwise, very fine.
From an old Swiss collection, formed in the 1970s.
