LUCANIA. Poseidonia. Circa 470-445 BC. Stater (Silver, 17 mm, 7.92 g, 7 h). ΠOME Poseidon striding to right, brandishing trident with his right hand and with chlamys draped over his shoulders. Rev. ΠΟΜΕ Bull standing left; all within round incuse. HN Italy 1114. SNG ANS 652-3. SNG Copenhagen 1279. Beautifully toned. Struck from slightly worn dies and with minor marks, otherwise, very fine.
