LUCANIA. Metapontion. Circa 340-330 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 20 mm, 7.93 g, 3 h). Bearded head of Leukippos to right, wearing Corinthian helmet; behind, head of a roaring lion to right. Rev. META Barley ear with leaf to left; above leaf, vertical club with head below; below leaf, AMI. HN Italy 1575. Johnston Class B, 2. SNG ANS 439. Somewhat harshly cleaned and with minor marks, otherwise, nearly very fine.
