LUCANIA. Thourioi. Circa 400-350 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 21 mm, 7.86 g, 1 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet adorned, on the bowl, with Skylla holding a trident in her right hand. Rev. ΘΟΥΡΙΩΝ Bull butting right; below, monogram of HP; in exergue, fish to right. HN Italy 1791c. SNG ANS 1042. The reverse struck from a slightly worn die and with traces of overstriking (?), otherwise, very fine.
