ISLANDS OFF THRACE, Thasos. Circa 148-90/80 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 35 mm, 14.46 g, 1 h). Head of Dionysos to right, wearing ivy wreath and taenia. Rev. HΡAKΛEOΥΣ - ΣΩTHΡOΣ / ΘAΣIΩN Herakles standing front, head to left, holding club with his right hand and with quiver and lion skin over his left shoulder; to inner left, M. SNG Copenhagen 1040. Minor marks and light scratches, otherwise, very fine.
