Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress; on cheek, countermark of 𐡏𐡆𐡁𐡅 ('ezbw in Aramaic). Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ - AΛEΞANΔPOY Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, kerykeion; below throne, monogram of AP. Price 3332. An attractive piece with a very interesting countermark. Large grafitto on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
