Hindu Medieval of India
Medieval Karnataka/Chalukyas of Kalyana (10-12 Century AD), Gold Navilachchina Haga/Hon (Double Fanam), uninscribed and unattributed, Obv: Peacock (Navilu) with a well spread out tail (fan-tailed Peacock) moving to left and facing towards back, Rev: uniface, 0.58g, 6.86mm, choice very fine, Exceedingly Rare.

Note: The Kudatini inscription of Chalukya King Tribhuvanamalla, dated 1098AD refers to the conversion of Lokki coins into peacock coins by a goldsmith named Savimoja who had to pay annually 12 Gadyanas to the temple of Svamideva out of the profit from making Navilachchina Pon (Peacock symbol Hon). It is plausible that this is a fractional coin of a similar type of Hons, these coins might have been minted at Naviluru Mint (Ref: Govindraya Prabhu, Navilachchu coins, Nanyadarshini Journal).
