Vietnam mostly South Vietnam mid 1950's onwards issues (21) in various mostly high grades GEF to UNC includes 1 example in Fine. Comprising National Liberation Front 1 Dong Pick R4 ND 1963 (5) close serial numbers AN431473, AN431465, AN431449, AN431461 and AN431343, these notes were printed in China but never issued and were intended for use in the territories under control of the National Liberation Front, many of them were captured during a joint US/South Vietnamese military operation into Cambodia. Also Vietnam war (Second Indochina War) period 10 Dongs Pick 3a ND 1955 (2) close serials H3 283574 & H3 283577. 100 Dong Pick 8a ND 1955 series ZA 657671. 50 Dong Pick 17a ND 1966 series U3 568238. 100 Dong Pick 18a ND 1966 (2) a consecutive pair seirals Y2 227189 & Y2 227190. 100 Dong Pick 19b ND 1966 watermark head as on obverse portrait (3) serials D8 419597, X4 983810 and S5 290925. 1000 Dong Pick 29a ND 1971 series K4 478016. 500 Dong Pick 33a ND 1972 (2) serials R5 480838 & F4 795571. Along with a Transitional Issue 1975 1 Dong Pick 40a serial number RT 263546 dated 1966 but issued after 30th April 1975 and these notes were used until the South's economic system was merged with that of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in 1978. Also modern issues 20000 Dong Pick 110a 1991 serial BV 8013872. 50000 Dong Pick 116a 1994 serial AV4761635. And 100000 Dong Polymer Pick 122a (Polymer Notes of the World S5R1) 2004 issue (first 2 digits of the serial give last 2 digits of year) series JB 04358096. A varied and interesting group.
