The 100 Afghanis in deep red-violet on multi-coloured underprint featuring Farm workers in wheat fields at right on obverse and Hydroelectric dam in mountains on reverse. The 500 Afghanis in Reddish-brown, deep green and deep brown on multi-coloured underprint illustrating horsemen competing in the Buzkashi games at right on obverse and the Fortress at Kabul on left centre on reverse.
