1) Britannia, Durotriges, Cranborne Chase Fourée Stater. Contemporary imitation(?), circa 58 BC - AD 43. Wreath, cloak and crescents / Disjointed horse left, with rectangular head, body of crescents, four vertical legs, three roughly horizontal lines for tail; pellet below; twelve pellets above. Cf. ABC 2157; cf. VA 1235-1; cf. BMCRE 2525-46; cf. SCBC 366. 4.17g, 18mm.
Very Fine. Scattered breaks in the plating have revealed the bronze core of this interesting contemporary fourée imitation.
