Societies, Agricultural & Horticultural Society, Calcutta, a silver award medal, unsigned [Calcutta mint], Hindu farmer ploughing field with two bullocks, palm-tree and temples with plain domes in background, rev. wreath, named (Presented to Captain J. McKean, 13th July 1824), 62mm, 144.27g (Pudd. I, 824.1.3 obv./824.1.1 rev.). Several minor surface and rim nicks and has been brightly cleaned in the past, otherwise about very fine and very rare, perhaps the earliest known award of this medal and worthy of further research £400-£500
