NABATAEA. Obodas II, with Hagaru I. 30-9 BC. Æ (18.5mm, 4.29 g, 12h). Petra mint. Uncertain date, probably RY 18 or 19 (13/2 or 12/1 BC). Laureate head right / Hagaru standing left, raising hand; date in legend to upper right (partially off flan). Cf. Barkay, King 41A and 43A (years 18 and 19); cf. Meshorer, Nabataea 36 (year 19); cf. DCA 969. Earthen dark green patina, die break and a couple scratches on revesre. Fine. Extremely rare, Barkay notes only two examples each for her issues 41A and 43A.

Regarding the date, the Nabataean characters for 15 are clear, but the marks thereafter are not. Barkay does not note bronze issues for year 16, and the sole type for year 17 has a different legend configuration. Her issues for year 18 and 19 are the only ones with the NBTW (= "Nabataeans") letters to the lower left, as here.
