Hadrian. AD 117-138. Æ Dupondius (27mm, 13.74 g, 12h). "Travel series" issue – "Provinces cycle". Rome mint. Group 10, circa AD 130-133. Laureate head right / AEGYPTOS, S C in exergue, Aegyptos reclining left, holding up sistrum, and resting on basket of fruit; to left, ibis standing right on low column. RIC II.3 1600. Dark brown patina, some brassy highlights, a few flan flaws on obverse. Good VF. A fabulous reverse for the type.
