Gordian III. A.D. 238-244. AR denarius (21.1 mm, ` g, 2 h). Rome mint, struck A.D. 241. IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / VENVS VICTRIX, Venus standing left, holding helmet and spear, shield at her side. RIC 131; RSC 347. Good EF, lustrous, irregular flan.
